I’ve done it once before, and it’s definitely one of the greatest and unique feelings I’ve ever experienced. I remember hanging my feet outside the plane after the 25 minutes ride up to altitude and thinking I was about to get the biggest butterfly in my stomach feeling ever. No such thing happened. I rolled out with the tethered instructor strapped to my back and suddenly it was like I had no sense of the emotion that is fear. In that moment, even though I knew in my mind that I was going to be fine, I somehow felt like I had accepted my fate regardless of what happened in the next 10 minutes. It was the most liberating and stress-free moment of my life.
